Enos Berger was born at St. Charles, Madison County, Iowa, April 23, 1856 and died the morning of December 12 at his home near Perry,Okla., at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 19 days. He was the fourth son of Achillis and Sarah Berger. While a youth he removed to Oak Valley, Kansas where he met Adiline Michels to whom he was married at Independence, Kansas on the 24 of August 1881.

Of this union there were born four sons and five daughters, one of the daughters, Hazel, dying on the 11th of December 1910, at the age of 8 years. The family came to old Oklahoma in the autumn of 1892 settling near Stillwater where they resided till the opening of the Cherokee Strip. In the run he staked a claim near Perry in Noble county and this county has been his home practically all the time since.
