Bill was born April 18, 1956, in Williamsport, Indiana, the son of George M. and Birtie M. Lape Hanover. He attended Bismark-Henning High School and lived in the area for many years, moving to Cincinnati twelve years ago. He married Joanne Sedlitz on May 5, 1994, in Cincinnati. Survivors include: two sons, Michael Hanover of Covington and Rusty Stout of Kingman; two daughters, Kathy Sedlitz of Cincinnati and Clista Stout of West Lebanon; a brother, Gregory A. Hanover of Attica; three sisters, Debra L. (David) Bladt of Shelby, Iowa, Sandra K. (Glen) Barrett of Westville, and Sheila F. (Thomas) Drais of Fern Park, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bill worked at Vinyl Max Window Facory in Cincinnati. He enjoyed fishing and cooking.
