Frank De Prisco was the son of Charles Angelo and Margaret (Morano) De Prisco (later Uzzo), immigrants from Avellino, Italy. The family always believed that Frank was born in Italy also, and immigrated with his family while an infant, but the census information says he was born in Delaware.

Frank was the first "Italian" policeman in the State of Delaware.

He was the husband of Elsie May Heisler, and the father of Charles N. De Prisco, Alfred D. De Prisco, Margaret (DePrisco) Evans, Frank M. De Prisco (who also became a police officer), Catherine, John C DePrisco, and Leonard P De Prisco.

He died of leukemia, in Wilmington, On Father's Day, and is buried next to his second wife, Helen.
