Mrs. Walker Dies In BG At Age 95.

A long period of failing health due to infirmities of old age ended in the death Wednesday at 10 p.m. of Mrs. James B. Walker (Safrona Bockey), 95. Mrs. Walker died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Mitchell, 440 S. Church St., where she had been living.
Mrs. Walker had lived in Bowling Green the last 30 years. She was born Oct. 11, 1858, in Wayne, the daughter of Jackson Bockey and Elizabeth Burns Bockey. She was the last of a family of 14 children and a lifelong resident of Wood County.
She and Mr. James B. Walker were married in October, 1881. He died in 1931. Her daughter Blaine Walker also preceded her in death. Mrs. Walker was a former member of the Mungen Church of Christ.
Surviving with her daughter are a son, Clate (James Clayton Walker), of Mungen; six grandchildren including Verl Clayton and Stanley Ray Walker, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call Friday afternoon and evening, at the Young Memorial, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. J. Oliver Hallock, of First Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Graham Cemetery, Wayne.
