Mr. John A. Cochran, 53, a resident of Clara, MS passed from this life on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro on Sunday, February 10, 1963 to Mr. Robert L. and Mrs. Betty Cochran. He served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of Desert Storm. He was employed as a self-employed carpenter. Mr. Cochran is preceded in death by his parents Robert L. and Betty Cochran. He is survived by his son, John Robert "Gopher" Cochran (Leigh Ann) of Petal; daughter, Tia Cochran Walley (Brandon) of Clara; 2 brothers, Terry L. Cochran (Angela) of Laurel, Larry Joe Cochran of Clara; sister, Sherry Lynn Barber (Donnie) of Lake Charles, LA; 4 grandchildren, Jonah Walley, Sawyer Walley, Sarah Catherine Cochran, Will Cochran. Visitation for Mr. Cochran will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, August 11, 2016 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 12, 2016 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro with Rev. Rick Lal and Rev. Matt Olson officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery in Waynesboro.
