Bonnie Jo Shiver
Services for Bonnie Jo Shiver, 73, Logansport, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Marocco Funeral Chapel.
She died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 18, 1933, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Parley and Edna James Ropp.
Bonnie attended Logansport High School and was a nurses aide at Miller's Merry Manor in Logansport.
She was a very caring person and was good at her job taking care of older people at the nursing facility.
She helped the Salvation Army serve meals to the needy and also tried to help homeless animals as much as she could. She had a compassionate heart.
Bonnie was a member of Bible Holiness Church in Logansport.
Surviving are one daughter, Bonnie Arnett, Walkerton; two sons, Don Kindig, Jacksonville, Fla., and Brian Ropp, Logansport; grandchildren, Tina Varga, Angie Penely, Scott Bonnell, Jemrian Ropp, Matt Kindig, Brianna Ropp, Brittney Ropp and Kayla Kindig; great-grandchild, Tyler Penely; one brother, David Ropp, Logansport; a special friend, Noel Fricke, Logansport; and several nieces and nephews.
One brother, Paul Ropp, preceded in death.
Pastor Jeff Ropp will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Harper Cemetery in Logansport.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral chapel.
