She was a long-time member of the Highlands Church of Christ and was retired from Entex. She was a 1949 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Marvin Adams; one son, Gary Adams and wife Diane; one daughter, Lisa Pierpoline and husband Robert; six precious grandchildren, Sarah, Kevin, and Payton Adams and Adam, Abby, and Ally Pierpoline; one brother, Gene Stone and wife Mary; three sisters, Oleta King, Lennie Carter and husband David, and Madeline Kelley and husband James; and aunt and uncle, Maggie and Seburn Chappell.
She was born Eula Joyce Stone, the fifth child of Payton and Ola Lee Stone. She went by "Joy."
