Indian Wars Medal of Honor Recipient. He was born in Tipperary, Ireland and entered the U.S.Army in New York, New York. He served as Private in Company G, 5th U.S. Infantry. He was awarded the CMOH for action during October 1876 and January 1877 at Cedar Creek, etc. Montana. His citation reads "Gallantry in engagements.
