Was a teammate of Christ Mathewson on the Giants. He acrued a lifetime batting average of .303. Was married to stage actress Mabel Hite, untill her death from cancer in 1912. After his baseball career was over, he went to Hollywood and acted in 46 movies over a 23 year career.
