**Note: Stone says he died in 1837 but he was still alive in the 1840 Census. He also deeded his land to his grandsons in 1845. I believe the year of death on his stone is his wife's and vice versa.**

Son of Angus Bethune and Christian Campbell. (Christian was the daughter of Donald Campbell and Katherine MacDonald.)

He was the brother of Rev. John Bethune.

**Last name is misspelled on stone.**
