French Monarch. Daughter of Alfonso VII. and Berenguela of Barcelona. She married King Louis VII in 1154 in Orleans where she was also crowned. She gave birth to a daughter, Marguerite, four years later. The girl was later married to Henry the younger of England. In 1159 she travelled with her father, her brother and Louis to Santiago de Compostella. Soon after her return to France she died after giving birth to her second daughter, Alais.
