Professional Cycler. World Champion Cycling Professionals in 1953 at Lugano. Won Tour de France and Giro d'Italia in 1949.
He is buried with his brother in CASTELLANIA (Italy) in a small memorial park beside the family house. Coppi was buried after his death in Castellania's cemetery, in 1960 near the grave of his brother Serse (a ciclist who also died during a race). In 1969 the city built a mausoleum near the City Hall where both were translated and are resting in peace today.
