Death of Clem Bee
Former San Antonian Passed Away
at Laredo Yesterday.
News was received in this city yesterday afternoon by District Attorney Carlos Bee of the death of his brother, Clement Stevens Bee, at Laredo yesterday after a long illness.

The remains will be brought to San Antonio for burial today and the funeral, which will be a private one, will take place from the International & Great Northern Depot on the arrival of the noon train. Hamilton P. Bee, of Laredo, a brother of the deceased, will accompany the remains. The mother and sister of the deceased have been in Laredo some time nursing him during his long illness.

Clement S. Bee was born in Corpus Christi on February 6, 1857. He was the second son of the late General H.P. Bee and had resided in San Antonio for a number of years during which time he became well known in this city. For the last ten years he had lived principally in Mexico. He was educated at the Agricultural and Mechanical College at Bryan, Texas.

The deceased was a fluent Spanish scholar and was on his way to Cuba for service as an interpreter with one of the Marine regiments when he was taken ill at New Orleans, from the effects of which he never recovered. He was bright and cultured and had many warm friends who will mourn his death. The interment will take place in the family lot in the Confederate Cemetery.
