WOODS, Wray Martin age 62, passed away December 14, 2007. He was born December 24, 1944, in Los Angeles, California. Wray served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. Wray graduated from San Marcos High School, Santa Barbara, Calif., and attended City College in Santa Barbara for 2 years. Wray worked in the drywall construction business for most of his adult life and was a licensed drywall contractor. He was an avid woodworker and loved spending time in his workshop creating beautifully hand turned bowls and vases on his wood lathe. Wray was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. His family was the most important part of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Woods. He is survived by his wife Helen Woods of Quartz
Hill, his children Courtney White and husband Rick White and sons, Nicholas and Michael of Albuquerque, N.M., Hilery Bowers and husband Brian Bowers and children Matthew, Kayla and Thomas, Kristen Watson and husband Gary Watson and sons Tyler and Nathan, and Kelli Smith and husband Evan Smith and children Isabella and Leah, one great-granddaughter Ella Kennedy-Hobson, his mother Nan Woods of Las Vegas, Nev., and his sisters, Carrie Kaplan, Toni Wion, and Sondra Threlfall, his sister-in-law Marlys Worley and husband Walter Worley and son Darren Worley, brother-in-law Robert Lind and wife Kathy Lind and children Robert, Michael and Karen, sister-in-law Jeanine Williams and husband Robin Williams and daughter Michelle Williams, his two best friends Rick Waldron and wife Tracy Waldron and Mike West and wife Judy West, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Wray will be deeply missed by all those whom he loved and who loved him. His passing leaves a tremendous void in our lives and his loving kind ways will be always in our hearts. Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 21, 2007, at Halley-Olsen-Murphy, Lancaster Chapel, 44802 N. Date Ave, Lancaster, Calif., with Rev. Frank Sablan of the Lancaster United Methodist Church officiating. Private interment to follow at Joshua Memorial Park.
