She was born in Tyler County, WV, daughter of the Samuel T. and Nancy (Mayfield) Massey and had spent most of her life in this area.
She was a member of the Belpre Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Simon Adams; two sons, Charles of Beverly, OH, and Robert of Parkersburg; three daughters Mrs. J. E. (Nettie) Moore of Mansfield, OH, Mrs. M.A. (Nancy C.) Mechem of Washington, D.C., and Mrs. H. D. (Roberta) Hunter of Belpre; one brother, Ira Massey of Carrollton, OH; 23 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son Norman and one daughter Rachel Ellen.
Final rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Mullen Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Howard L. Underwood officiating. Burial will be in Rockland Cemetery.
