MUNCY – Charles A. Noble, 90, of Muncy RD 2, died at 2:50 a.m. Sunday, May 22, 1983, at Kramm's Nursing Home, Watsontown, where he lived for about two years.
Born Sept. 6, 1892, in Homberg, Germany, he was a son of Conrad and Christina Becker Spanknobel.
Mr. Noble used a variation of the spelling of the family name.
The owner of Kamera-Werkstatten in Dresden, Germany, he came to the United States in 1922.
His wife, the former Hildagard Gerding, died in December 1974.
Surviving are two sons, John, with whom he had lived, and George T., of Deerfield, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Freda Kuntze, in West Germany, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wallis', 121 South Main Street, with the Rev. Robert Kulzer, pastor of Faith Tabernacle, Williamsport, officiating.
There will be no visitation."
