Son of Rev. David Ross and Clara (King) Moore. Third generation graduate of Miami University. Earned M.D. from University of Cincinnati Medical School. Longtime Oxford Medical Doctor. Practiced medicine with his older half-brother, Hugh Miller Moore until his death in 1927. He was the founder of the Butler County Mental Health Association and was chairman of the first board of trustees at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital. He served as medical director at Western College for a number of years and was former chief of the medical staff at Fort Hamilton Hospital. Dr. Moore was a member of the Oxford Lodge 67 F and AM, was a charter member of the Oxford Kiwanis Club. Served as chairman of the Butler County Board of Health and as County Health Commissioner. Elder of the United Presbyterian Church and member of the Oxford Country Club. As a student in the Miami preparatory Academy, he was a founding member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity in 1906.
