(MA-SUGAR) Tracie Ann Aguilar (Ma-Sugar) passed away on March 8, 2008, after a long courageous battle against lung disease. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at McGilley Antioch Chapel, entombment in White Chapel Mausoleum. A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the UN World Food Program (PFD). She leaves behind her beloved husband, Joe, of 36 years; two daughters, Kayna Jo and husband Kevin Craig, and Kristi Marie Aguilar; four grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica, Hailey, and Selena; two stepchildren, Joe and wife Kristi Aguilar and Sydney Aguilar; six step grandchildren, Justin, Devon, Aaron, Jeffery, Kimberly and Bryson; two brothers, Gary Needham and Brian Needham; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Curt, her beloved mother, Mary Jo, her brother Scott and her sister Sharon. Tracie was born on March 14, 1954, in Kansas City, Kan., where she attended Rosedale High School. She received her associate's degree from Longview Community College in 1991, and she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's in science and Management/Accounting from Park College in 1993. She worked for the ophthalmology department at KU Hospital from 1973-1994, and worked for Shook, Hardy, and Bacon Law Firm from 1995- 2000. Tracie collected carousels and enjoyed watching old movies. Tracie was nicknamed Ma-Sugar by her oldest granddaughter Amanda and it became her signature name used by all of her grandchildren. Tracie was a kind and gentle person, you could talk to her about anything, she was a good listener to family and friends. She gave herself completely to her family and never expected anything in return. She truly was an angel here on Earth. Tracie will be deeply missed but not forgotten by her family and friends. Go rest now precious one, Your life in eternity has just begun. Now you can walk, your legs are brand new. All of heaven is now in your view. Look all around, it's all in your sight, There will never be another dark night. Flowers and jewels, the street of pure gold, and all of the things that have been told. I can just imagine the smile on your face as you walk all around in that beautiful place. Greeting our loved ones as you walk along, while singing heaven's most beautiful song. This is so very hard, but it will all be okay, it isn't goodbye, we'll see you one day. We love you and we'll miss you and at times it will be tough, but as with everything, God's grace will be enough.
