The youngest surviving daughter of John Alexander Moffatt 1860-1944 and Sarah Eliza Laird 1861-1911. She moved to Sarnia, ON c1917, and worked at Manley's stationary supply store. In 1921 she married Leland Stanford Knudsen and they had 6 children, their eldest child, Jean, dying of peritonitis in 1927. Adelia had a strong faith in God and was very giving. She taught Sunday School at Canon Davis Memorial Anglican church and was a member of the W.A. She cared for her elderly in-laws until shortly before her death. She was a loving grandmother who doted on her grandchildren. She was a tiny woman (4'10" if that!) who loved flowers and reading to children.
