Professional Football Player. He played as a defensive lineman in the National Football League for eight seasons (1946 to 1953), with the New York Yankees and Cleveland Browns. An All-American lineman from Texas Christian University, he signed with the New York Yankees of the All-American Conference in 1946. Traded to the Browns in 1948, he was a member of the team's All-American Conference win in 1949 and the Browns NFL title win in 1950, after the two pro leagues merged. He is also an inductee of the Texas Christian University Hall of Fame.
