Mrs. Shirlie Mae Angel, 57, of Astor, Fla., passed away Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009. Born in Owensboro, she moved to Astor from Calhoun in 1982. She was an electronics tester and a member of Calhoun Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Elliott Angel of Astor; a son, Jonathan A. Angel of Brandon, Fla.; daughters Tabitha Angel Stuart of Valrica, Fla., and Angela Ocasio of Tampa, Fla.; parents Arthur and Ruby Carter of Calhoun; brothers Wayne Carter of Island, Harold Carter of Livermore and Carroll Carter of Island; sisters Sherry Capps and Debbie Carter, both of Gufie, Donna Burden of Calhoun and JoAnn Moore of West Louisville; and six grandchildren.
Graveside services were Feb. 24 at Greenwood Cemetery in Ocala, Fla. Beyers Funeral Home in Astor was in charge of arrangements.
