Obituary from "The Flint Journal," 24th of December 1948, page 12;
Mary E. Herrick, 1708 Minnesota, age 76, died suddenly Friday, December 24th, 1948, at the residence. Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, December 26th, 1948, from the Brown Funeral Home. Rev. C. D. Munson officiating. Burial in Bristol Cemetery. Remains will be at the Brown Funeral Home, 1616 Davison Road. Death was due to a heart attack. She was born in Calumet, Michigan, May 10th, 1872. Resident of Genesee County most of her life. Member of Vehicle City Camp 6167 Royal Neighbors of America. Surviving are: daughter Mrs. Victor Ricolo of Beaverton, Michigan; 4 sons, Archie, Marks and Doyle of Flint, Harley of Saginaw, Michigan. 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother Mark McGauley of Fowlerville, Michigan.

Cause of death was Coronary Sclerosis.
