Bammye was the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Raper) Padgett. She married Forest Harry Draper July 5, 1896 in Owen County, Indiana. Together they had two sons: Claude and Lauron. Later she married Charles B. Ocheltree on December 12, 1922 in Marion County, Indiana. She was 96 when she passed away.

Bammye R. Ocheltree, a former resident of Spencer, died Thursday, May 3, in the Americana Nursing Home at Lafayette. She was 96 years old.

She was born in Spencer March 17, 1877, the daughter of Sam Padgett and Elizabeth Raper Padgett.

Her husband, Charles Ocheltree preceded her in death in May 1963.

She was a member of the Spencer Christian Church.

Survivors are her step-daughter, Geneva Rogers of Cleveland, Ohio; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Two sons preceded her in death.

Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. at the West & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. George Michael was the officiating minister.

Interment was in Chambersville Cemetery.
