OBITUARY--DUBEL

Alfred Dubel, son of Samuel and Rebecca Dubel, was born April 14, 1838, at Salem, Mahoning County, O., and died April 28, 1920, having reached the age of 82 years and 14 days.
At the age of one year he was deprived of a mother's care, and when he was 14 years of age his father died, leaving him in care of an uncle. Later in company with his uncle and other relatives he came to Millville.
Afterwards he moved to Little Grant, where he was married January 15, 1865, to Leah B. Horsfall. To this union were born five children--Olive (Mrs. Wm. Prescott), Osakis, Minn.; Millie (Mrs J. L. Crow), now deceased, Herman, Minn.; Alta (Mrs. Walter Schneyer), Bloomington; Daisy, at Osakis, Minn.; and Rolland of Patch Grove. There are 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also is survived by one half-brother, James Dubel, of Nebraska.
Although his health had been failing for some time, he never complained, but was ready to meet his Maker and his loved ones gone before.
Funeral services for deceased were held at the home in the town of Patch Grove, Friday at 1 p. m., Rev. D. W. Phillips of Bloomington preaching the sermon. Interment occurred in the family lot in Hermitage cemetery. A large congregation of relatives and old friends attended.
