Irish Revolutionary. Better known as Sean MacDiarmada, he was an organizer for Sinn Fein republican political and a signatory to the Proclamation of the Republic. Active during the Easter 1916 rising, despite being a sufferer from polio, he was one of fourteen leaders of the uprising to be court-martialed and executed by firing squad in Kilmainham Jail in Dublin, Ireland (a further 75 were condemned but reprieved).
