My half-great-great-aunt. The following bio is from "George Williams: A Pocatello Pioneer," by Emmons N. Williams, originally written while Evelyn was still alive. Tense has been changed from present to past to reflect her death.

Evelyn was born in Pocatello, the 6th child of George & Tilda Williams. She had a happy childhood. The best times she remembered were when she went with her mother & the other children to [her half-brother] Stan's ranch to cook for the threshing crews. They still used horses instead of tractors for harvesting in those days, & the kids thought it was a great adventure.

When Evelyn was 18 she married Cecil John & they had 2 sons, Wesley & Duane. It was not a good marriage, & they were divorced in 1936.

As of 1982, Wesley was a truck driver, had 5 children, & lived in Auburn, WA. Meanwhile, Duane, a maintenance man at Kraft Cheese Co, lived in a lovely home on Cypress Street in Pocatello & spent his spare time hunting & fishing.

In 1939 Evelyn married Bill Wright. Their son James served in the US Air Force & lived in Anchorage, AK, with his wife & daughter.

Since Bill retired from his position as a switchman for the Union Pacific Railroad, he & Evelyn enjoyed traveling & visiting Jim in Alaska. They traveled a great deal in the Western states & also visited Florida & Hawaii. They especially liked the Idaho wilderness areas. They also enjoyed gardening.

Evelyn died on January 11, 1988. Bill followed on May 27, 1992.
