Minnie E. Alexander
Minnie E. ALEXANDER, 87, formerly of 1125 Main Street, died at 12:10 a.m.Sunday at the Indiana State Soldier's Home in Lafayette. She had been in failing health for six weeks.
Mrs. Alexander was born Aug. 27, 1893 in Fulton County to Lemuel and Hattie CESSNA. She had lived most of her life in this area with the exception of 10 years in South Bend. She was married June 28, 1931 in Attica to Fred D. ALEXANDER, who died May 21, 1958. She was a former school teacher at Rochester. She was a member of the Rochester First Baptist church and the Rochester Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Don (Betty) FISHER, Rochester, and Mrs. Joe JoHANNSEN, Chicago; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Mrs. John (Doris) MORTIMORE, More Haven, Fla., and Mrs. Sally DAVIS, Laguna Hills, Calif.; two brothers, Mr. Otto CESSNA, Rochester, and Dale CESSNA, Hayward, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews. A son, a sister and two brothers preceded.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Foster & Good Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald MAUGHAN officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
Eastern Star Memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.
