Betty Sue Gann Adamson, 82, of Old Hickory, Tenn., died Wednesday, December 23, 2009, in a Nashville, Tenn. hospital.

A native of Harrison, TN she was a 1944 graduate of Tyner High School and was a retired LPN from St. Thomas Hospital.

She was preceded in death by Nell, Sherman, Louella Gann and Edward L. Adamson.

She is survived by her children Becky (Vince) Keefauver, John (Linda) Adamson, Cindy (David) Dobbs, Gail and Jill Adamson; grandchildren, Beth (Keith Bowman) Keefauver, Scott Keefauver, Allison Dobbs, and Arran Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Jasper Keefauver and Boone Keefauver.

A special thanks to Geraldine for her letters and prayers these many years, caregivers and home health nurses. She is missed and the family comforted that she is home with Maw and Grandaddy.

Graveside service to be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Tyner Cemetery with the Rev. Weyland Stewart officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway, Chattanooga, Tn.
