1200 Persons Attend Bahn Obsequies At East Codorus Church

Loganville, Sept. 28 - The funeral of Mrs. Ida May Bahn, wife of Milton Bahn, this place, who died Thursday at the West Side Sanitarium, York, was held at 10 a.m. today. It was said to have been the largest funeral ever held at East Codorus church, near here, of which the deceased was a member. Between 1,000 and 1,2000 persons were estimated to be in attendance.

Brief services were held at the home, after which the funeral cortege, numbering about 215 automobiles, proceeded to the church, where concluding rites were held. Interment was made in the cemetery adjacent to the church. Rev. E. J. Gernand, of Union Bridge, Md., officiated, assisted by Rev. Edward Keeney, Loganville.

The pallbearers were: John Hartman, Paul Hildebrand, Harry Hartman, Luther Keeney, Frank Shaffer and Daniel Godfrey. Mrs. Thomas Ness, the invalid mother of the deceased, attended the services, being carried to the church and cemetery in a chair. This was the first death in the family.
