“Florence Barrett, 89, 205 South Jackson, died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at the Crawford 'Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack. She had been ill sometime.
“Born in Crawford County July 22, 1879, she was the daughter of Henry and Maria (Smotherman) Lincoln. Her husband, W. E. Barrett, preceded her in death.
“Mrs. Barrett is survived by one son, Lloyd, Robinson; one sister, Mrs. Bert Vaughn, Lawrenceville; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
“Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday in the chapel of the Buchanan Funeral Home. Rev. James Owens will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.”
