SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Mrs. Edna Bergan, 89, of 295 E. Pearl St., died Truesday, Oct. 21, 1997, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wendell, Minn. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Bergan, a native of Elbow Lake, Minn., was the managing editor of the Grant County Herald and a member of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, Augusta, where she was a member of the choir. She was a volunteer with the Girl Scouts of America. She was the custodian of secret blue prints and processes of H-bomb technology for the DuPont Co. at the Savannah River Plant.

Survivors include one son, Peter A. Bergan, San Diego; one daughter, Sonia Bergan McDuffie, Spartanburg; one brother, Ralph Ness, Castroville, Tenn.; two sisters, Bertha Jackson and Ruth Starner, both of Hoffman, Minn.; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund, Wendell, MN 56590.
