Businessman. He founded the Mars Candy Factory in 1911, which exists in the present day as Mars, Incorporated. Among the candy products he created was the "Milky Way" candy bar, which is one of the best selling confections in history. His son, Forrest Mars created the "Mars Bar" in 1933 in England by adding a layer of caramel to the Milky Way bar.
