Register - Mrs. Adeline McGauley Anderson, 90, died suddenly Tuesday March 7, 2006 at her home in Register.
She was born on a farm in Candler County to the late J.D. and Flora Lanier McGauley. "Miss Adeline", as most knew her graduated from Georgia Teachers College in 1933 and taught school in Candler County at Pulaski Elementary and in Bulloch County at Register Elementary. She left teaching to raise her children in a home that she filled with much love, dedication and a great appreciation for the outdoors.
Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John Iverson" Ibo" Anderson, Sr. She leaves a family of five children, Ibo Anderson, Jr., Flora A. Ott, Marie A. Ashmore, Clayton O. Anderson and William Leslie Anderson all of Register; four grandchildren, Tonya A. Sanders, Adeline "Addie" Ashmore, Thomas Iverson "Tbo" Ottand Caitlyn Anderson; a step granddaughter, Anna Brannen and one great grandchild, Grady James Sanders. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be Friday from 10:00am until the funeral hour at Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m., at the Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Jack Anderson officiating assisted by Elder Randy Waters.
Burial will be in the EPHESUS church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Franklin, Don Lanier, Tbo Ott, Jay Sanders, Dick Corn and Wayne Rivenbark.
