Aaron, age 29, died on Friday at home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with pancreatic and liver cancer. He was born to Douglas & Monica (Heiser) Bair. Aaron had a zeal for life with a special optimism for living. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, he spoke with wisdom beyond his years that astonished many people in his life. His concern was always for others, before he would consider himself. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, as well as entering the occasional poker tournament, which he usually did very well in. Movies were a passion of his, "The Book of Eli" being his favorite. He was a twin and very loving son, brother and brightened the day of all those around him. He had worked as a correctional officer at Oak Hill Correctional Institution, where he saved the life of one of the inmates from choking, during his time there. He was also employed at Stoughton Trailers, plus many other jobs. Towards the end of his life, he came to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, which brought him much solace and comfort and strengthened those around him. He now resides with his Lord and will be deeply missed, but many look forward to seeing him again. He is survived by his parents of Stoughton; two brothers, his twin, James (Jill Goldbeck) Bair of Stoughton, WI, and Adam (Samantha) Bair of Belleville, WI; nephews, Lincoln, Zechariah and Joshua Bair; maternal grandfather, Ken Heiser of Stoughton; cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents; paternal grandparents; and an uncle, Ronald "Butch" Hatlevig. Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 29, at the funeral home, Evansville.
