Mrs. Frank Roring, a long-time range resident, died Sunday of this week, August 16, at the age of 81. She had been in ill health the past year and a half. Funeral services are being held at 9 a.m. today, Wednesday, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby. Fr. Joseph Cashen is conducting the services and burial will follow at Lakewood Cemetery here. A rosary was recited at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby last night, Tuesday.
Mrs. Roring was born at Cologne, Minnesota on September 28, 1881. She and Mr. Roring would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this coming January. Surviving in addition to her husband, Frank, are fire daughters and a son: Mrs. Elizabeth Stratemeyer, Crosby; Mrs. Merton Olin (Ann), Grove City, PA; Mrs. George Burud (Clara) and Mrs. Kay Peterson (Wilma), both of Torrence, Calif; Mrs. Harold Peterson (Adeline) of Pequot Lakes; Robert Roring, Lakewood, California. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. One son preceded his mother in death in 1928."
