Mrs. Esther Anna Ankeny, 81, of 127 Garfield St. West Kittanning, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 1969 in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 28, 1887, in Rural Valley, the daughter of David and Minnie Hill. She was a member of First Church of God, Kittanning.
Surviving are her husband, Lee Lester Ankeny; two sons, Myron David Ankeny of Kittanning and Wilbert D. Ankeny of West Kittanning; two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Cochran of Clymer and Mrs. Mary Painter of Indiana; one brother, George Hill of New York City; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons and one daughter.
