GRELLA Elizabeth Ann "Betty" (nee Sabol), passed peacefully on November 15, 2010 at Regent Care Center, Hackensack. Betty was born on May 27, 1920, the youngest daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth (nee Daniel) Sabol. She spent the first 33 years of her life in Raritan where she married the late Michael Grella. Her three oldest children were born in Raritan. In 1953 the family moved to Carlstadt where a third daughter was born. After 23 years of marriage, Betty and Michael were divorced and Betty moved to Lodi where she lived for 39 years. She was employed by Stuart Infra-Red in Carlstadt and later in the Clerical Department of Vornado in Garfield. Betty was a graduate of Somerville High School Class of 1938. She enjoyed dancing and listening to the music of the Big Band Era and attending shows. She liked word games and puzzles and was an avid fan of Wheel of Fortune, usually solving the puzzles before the contestants. Betty was predeceased by three brothers, Andrew, Lewis and Emil Sabol and five sisters Mary Sabol, Verna Richardson, Emma Novack, Pauline Klein and Louise Huber. She is survived by her sister Margaret Scott and sister-in-law Berthe Sabol Hanrahan. She was the loving mother of Elizabeth Grimaldi and her husband Ben, Michael Grella and his wife Janet, Judith Campbell and her husband Robert and Lorraine Grella. Also survived by her dear grandchildren Ben Grimaldi and his wife Katarzyna, Michael Grimaldi, Michelle Campbell Capasso and her husband Perry, Jennifer Grella and Michael Grella and his wife Heather. Also four cherished great-grandchildren Ben and Gina Grimaldi, Savannah and Addison Grella and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Regent Care for over five years of compassionate care and Hospice of Bloomfield for their support during the past few weeks. Funeral service will be held at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 10 AM. Entombment East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton
