Son of The Reverend Elisha Moss Fessenden and Elsie {Tibits} Fessenden. Brother of Cortez Fessenden

Father of 4 sons, the eldest of whom was Reginald Aubrey Fessenden (1866-1932)

The Fessendens lived first in Bolton, Quebec, where their three eldest sons were born. In 1872 Rev Fessenden was called to minister in Fergus, Ontario, followed by Chippawa near Niagara Falls in 1878. From 1893 until his death early in 1896, Reverend Fessenden was Rector of St John's Anglican Church, Ancaster, Ontario, where he and Clementina, with their youngest son, Victor, lie at rest.
