Alverta M. "Peach" Beck, 75, died Friday morning, December 31, 2010 at Conestoga View. Born in Hellam, PA she was the daughter of the late Anna and Howard Ness.

Alverta retired from RCA after 35 years employment. In retirement she was employed as an aide at Brethren Village and delivered for Royers Pharmacy, Lancaster.

She is survived by her partner of over 40 years, James H. Pineda, Lancaster. Also surviving are three daughters and two sons, Cynthia S. Allison of Lancaster, Leticia J. Booth-Vangorder wife of David A Vangorder of Quarryville, Danielle M. Kibler of Mountville, Jeffrey L. husband of Kimberly Beck of Elizabethtown and Keir A. Beck of Lancaster, thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, two sisters Katherine Baker, Wrightsville and Ruth Porterhouse, Hershey, PA. She was predeceased by a daughter Tina M. York.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Alverta's Funeral Service at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at The Groffs Family Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 528 W Orange Street (corner of Orange & Pine Sts), Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Dana E. Statler officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. Interment will be at Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster.
