Doris Edenia Anderson, 87, a longtime resident of St. Anthony, died Dec. 3, 2010, in Madison Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
She was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Leslie, the daughter of Lue Klingler and Emma Edenia Ward Klingler. She grew up in the Herbert area, attending schools in Herbert, Lyman and Salem, graduating from the Sugar-Salem High School.
She married Lorin Lamont Mortensen in 1943 and they were later divorced. She married Louis N. Anderson on Aug. 31, 1963, in Rexburg. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Doris was a active member of the LDS Church serving in various callings.
She served as treasurer for Fremont County for 16 years. She and her husband enjoyed camping, fishing, outdoors and family get-togethers.
She is survived by her husband, Louis, of St. Anthony; children Twylla Mortensen of St. Anthony, Julie (David) Harden of Boise, Rick (Debbie) Mortensen and Terry P. (Lois) Mortensen, both of Salem; a son-in-law, Vard Wright of Wilford; siblings Grant (Betty) Klingler, Darwin (JoAnn) Klingler, both of Newdale, and Darlene (Jerry) Harris of Rigby; 14 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, DiAnn Wright, one granddaughter and one great granddaughter, and three brothers, Lorin, Sterling and Dale.
