Daughter of William Phillip Byrne and Katie Katherine Trahern Byrne. Wife of Butler Hancock. Butler and Anna were married on January 07, 1930 in Winnsboro, Louisiana at Shady Grove Church by the Reverand R. J. Miller. Witnesses were Tom Patter and J. R. Keene. They had four children. William Louis Hancock born in Mounds, Louisiana on April 12, 1931, Charles Tom Hancock born in Jigger, Louisiana in 1933, Jerls Leon Hancock born in Winnsboro, Louisiana, and Butler Kenneth Hancock born in Clarks, Louisiana. Louis passed away on May 21, 1944 of a kidney infection. For many years Butler and Anna traveled as Butler was an iron worker. They traveled from job to job. After a few years they settled in Houston, Texas. During those years she had the odd job, at one time as a seamstress at the Jefferson Davis Hospital. However, most of her time was spent as a housewife. For many years the Hancock relatives all lived within a few miles radius in the Houston area. After a time Butler began to long for the home where he grew up and they moved back to Clarks, Louisiana. There they lived out the end of their days.
