Marie Evelyn COONEY, 63, of Shell Beach died Tuesday, May 28, 1996, at an Arroyo Grande hospital.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel in Grover Beach. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Pismo Beach. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Catholic Church. The Rev. Peter Parchern will officiate. Burial will follow at Arroyo Grande Cemetery.
Mrs. COONEY was born June 8 1932. A native of Shell Beach, she lived there all her life. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Pismo Beach.
She is survived by her husband, Richard COONEY of Shell Beach; three daughters, Barbara Ann MORENO of Oxnard, Suzanne MILLER-KERSTNER of Pismo Beach, and Kathleen Marlene IRWIN and her husband, William, of San Francisco; her mother Agnes BORBA of Shell Beach; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and three sisters; Virginia GREEN of Jackson, Georgia TURNER of Canoga Park and Dolores WITT of Shell Beach.She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph BORBA, in 1976; and by her sister Agnes Lorraine MANNING, in 1987.
