Soccer coach. Nicknamed "Toto," he made his debut as an Argentinean professional soccer player in 1940 with the Chacarita Juniors. His career as a player was successful, but as a coach, he probably was the most successful in Argentine soccer history. He coached clubs such as San Lorenzo de Almagro, River Plate and Boca Juniors in Argentina, Atlético de Madrid in Spain, Lazio in Italy and was the coach of the Argentine National Team at the World Cups of Chile in 1962 and England in 1966.
