Musician. He is remembered as a noted pianist and composer. He lead his own orchestra for over fifty years. He began his career at 17, then participated in different orchestras and, in 1943, joined the Anibal Troilo´s orchestra. In 1947, Basso put together his own orchestra, reuniting the best musicians of the time.
