Aaron Leonard was the son of Levi Barrow and Mary Talley.

He was a Physician and Surgeon, a farmer and a Royal Arc Mason.

He graduated from Medical School in New Orleans and could read, write and translate 7 languages.

Aaron Leonard was married 1st to Lucinda DeVore/DeFore and together they parented 10 children: Aaron, Mary, Lucinda, Emily, Lolita (these first 5 children born in Louisiana), Their children born in Texas were: Susan, Joseph, Jeanette, Solomon and Benjamin.

He married 2nd to Rachel Lucinda (Galloway) Haynes and together they parented 4 children: Malinda, Miranda, James Aaron and Charles Galloway. Lucinda was married previously and had 2 children: Eliabeth and Madison.

He moved to an area near Anahauc, TX where the water of the Trinity River empties into Galveston Bay in what is now
Chambers Co.,TX. about 1842 where he appears in the 1850 Census.

But by 1859, Dr. Aaron Leonard Barrow had moved his family to Guadalupe County near Seguin east of San Antonio in a section called BRUSHY where he was the Postmaster for 'BARROWDALE" which was a Stage Coach stop.
