Carol B. Sanders, 75, 200 New York Ave., Farmland, former resident of Muncie, widow of Newell Eugene Sanders, died Saturday in Ball Hospital following an extended illness.


She was born in Mead County, Ky., spent her early years in that area, and moved to Muncie about 1937. She had lived in Farmland the past three years.


Mrs. Sanders was formerly employed at Ball Corporation and at one time was manager of the Home Cafe restaurant in Muncie.


Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Kenney (Clara) Clendenon, Muncie, Mrs. Robert (Clelline) Norwood, California, Mrs. Bill (Helen) Lennington, Texas, and Mrs. Joseph (Patricia) Davis, Farmland, with whom she made her home; five sons, Andrew and George Fluhr, Muncie, William Fluhr, Texas, Donald Fluhr, Farmland, and Newell Eugene Sanders, Muncie; five sisters, Rose Montgomery, Addie Alcorn, Margie Mitchell, Nancy Heckman, and Henrietta Lutter, all of Kentucky; her brother, Ernie Morris, Kentucky; 32 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.


Services will be in Meeks Mortuary at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will follow in Elm Ridge. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday and before services Tuesday. The Rosary will be recited at the mortuary at 4 p.m. Monday.
