Religious Leader. Famous and renowned minister of the Restoration movement. Started a revival in August 1801 at Cane Ridge in Bourbon County, Kentucky, that drew nearly 30,000 people. Nearly 5,000 of those same people dedicated their lives to Jesus Christ during the week revival. Stone was an Ordained Presbyterian minister and is credited with founding the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
