Cinematographer. Lauron "Jack" Draper* was born March 5, 1897 in Spencer, Owen County, Indiana. He was the son of Forest Harry and Bernice "Bammye" Draper. He married a lady by the name of Lucille and they had three children: Betty (born 1922) and Lauron A. Draper Jr. (born November 1927) and another daughter. Lauron moved his family to California where he used his skills to become a cinematographer. He worked with many popular stars from his era such as Johnny Weissmuller "Tarzan and the Mermaids", William Lundigan "Mystery in Mexico", Robert Stack "The Bullfighter and the Lady", Glenn Ford "Plunder in the Sun", George Montgomery and Peter Garves "Robber's Roost", Bruce Bennett and Lon Chaney, Jr. "Daniel Boone, Trail Blazer" and Kit Carson "Forbidden Trails" among many others. Eventually he moved to Mexico City, Mexico where he went on to be the cinematographer in many popular Mexican movies. On September 24, 1962 Lauron died at his home in Mexico City following a stroke. He was 65 years old.
