Canada Supreme Court Justice . Born in Québec, he studied at Laval University Laval and received his Law degree in 1951. A Rhodes scholarship led him to the University of Oxford for further studies. He was admitted to the Bar. in 1953. He practiced in a private cabinet in Québec and also taught at the Faculty of Law of Laval University before becoming in 1965 the deputy minister of the Justice of Quebec. Three years later, he named Secretary-General of the Executive Council of Quebec, the highest rank in the Québec civil service.He named the Court of Appeal of Quebec in 1975 and he it chaired, from 1976 to 1979, the Board of inquiry on bilingualism in the supervising authorities of the air traffic in Quebec. He was appointed to the Supreme Court of Canada, on September 24, 1979 and sat there for seven years. He died on February 6, 1987.
