Captain of the Régiment de Béarn, Chevalier de Saint-Louis
Knight of the Royal and Military Order of Saint-Louis. Born close to Rethel (France), he began his military career as second-lieutenant on April 23, 1745, then on November 9 of the same year, he became lieutenant. He obtained the command of a company of riflemen in the Regiment of Béarn on November 1, 1746.
Seriously wounded at the Battle of the Plains of Abraham, he died one month later on October 12, 1759. He is buried in the cemetery of the General Hospital of Quebec from which a part, called "Cemetery of the Heroes", became in 2001 the Memorial of the Seven Years War.
